Soon after the initial settlement, the Guide began to repay the obligation. The strength drawn from the Admiral’s heart was almost exhausted in a short time by performing physical duties. It would not have been so exhausting if she had not performed them in sickness.
Applications
When performing our duties while healthy we are apt to complain and be impatient. When we are ill, fulfilling even seemingly simple activities and duties often involves great difficulty and effort. Only a brief mention of these difficulties and the lack of detailed descriptions can testify to the really hard time the Guide experienced. Therefore, here the clue that our brave sister left us is not words, but rather the lack of them. Sometimes, simply without words of complaint, one must show fortitude, grit one’s teeth, fulfill one’s duties and endure a hard time for us.

How many times in a tough task was it enough to just persevere without complaining or talking too much?
How many times through complaining and talking have we only increased the time of suffering, instead of silently doing our own thing and moving to a state of joy and contentment?
